Finite Element Analysis of Self-Compacted Concrete Filled Steel Tube Columns Exposed to High Temperatures

To represent the structural behavior of self-compacted concrete filled steel tube composite columns under axial compression loading after high temperatures exposure, a nonlinear three dimensional finite element analysis model has been achieved to analyze these using ANSYS R-15 software. An eight-node solid brick (Solid65) is used concrete, while four-node isoparametric shell (Shell63) for analyzed columns. A Newton-Raphson incremental-iterative approach simulate solution technique. The method results indicated that predicted ultimate loads and deformations four column specimens agree well with experimental normal strength in static up failure, therefore, it sufficient how behave. reduction analytical compared values ranged from 11% 16%, total deformation 3% 7%. yield patterns obtained compressive stress are comparable determined study.
